Beyond the drum kit, percussion is my way of shaping sound. It is the heartbeat in every performance and gives life to the music.
SWANSEA ARENA: 'DANCING THROUGH THE DECADES'
In December 2024, I was hired as the session percussionist for Ryan D'Auria and his 9 piece funk band performing a weekend show run at Swansea Arena called Dancing Through the Decades. The set list featured a mix of modern commercial hits, including I Can’t Feel My Face by The Weeknd, alongside timeless classics such as Proud Mary and P.Y.T.
Above is our cover of Micheal Jackson's 'P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing)'. Here, I wrote the percussion parts and handpicked the instruments which I believed suited each song. Below is my performance of Ryan's original song New Groove at Swansea Arena.
